This is my personal favourite for an all-round booking platform for accommodation, for both hotels and private hosts. I’m a big fan of their ‘Genius’ loyalty programme too, which can get you 10-15% off selected hotels.
If you’re booking high-end hotels, then ASMALLWORLD is the best platform to use. It’s a luxury hotel booking engine that unlocks access to VIP benefits like free room upgrades and late check-outs at some of the best hotels across the world.
Expedia is a great all-rounder platform where you can book everything you need in one place. Whether you just need a hotel or an entire holiday package, Expedia is a fantastic full-service option for your next holiday.
Vrbo is the go-to platform for holiday rentals in 190 countries. Whether you’re after a simple space or a luxury rental with all the bells and whistles, you’ll be able to find something for your needs with Vrbo.
Flights
WayAway is an innovative flight aggregator that finds the best rates on airline tickets. I’d also recommend the WayAway Plus membership plan, which gives cashback on flights, accommodation, tours and more.
Get access to discounted flights as well as great deals on accommodation, packages and experiences with Expedia. It’s one of the largest travel providers in the world, making it easy to plan and book trips.
AirHelp’s mission is to promote and protect passengers’ rights. If you’ve experienced delayed or cancelled flights, AirHelp will handle the claim process on your behalf and help you to receive up to €600 in compensation.
Getting around
Trainline is my go-to for all train bookings across Europe. They work with over 210 rail and coach companies in 45 countries, and the app is really easy to use.
My personal favourite for finding the best deals on car rental is Discover Cars. An award-winning car rental comparison site, you can find, compare and rent a car globally.
GetTransfer.com is a booking service for transfers and car rentals with a personal driver. Find the best prices and benefit from a service that’s cheaper than a standard taxi service.
An online bus-booking platform that has compiled the world’s largest selection of bus tickets. It simplifies the booking process and helps you find the best available price for your trip.
Tours and attractions
My personal favourite for booking tours and activities, GetYourGuide is a booking platform that helps you find incredible travel experiences – from skip-the-line tickets to private tours.
Viator connects travellers with tours and activities in over 200 countries. From wine tastings and walking tours to cooking classes and catamaran rides, find and book an unforgettable experience.
Safety and insurance
