1. Hvar in Croatia

As one of the sunniest islands in Croatia, Hvar has become a beautiful and luxurious destination. It has stunning beaches and plenty of fun outdoor adventures.

By day, you can take the girls on a shopping trip to the many boutique shops that litter the island. By night, Hvar transforms into a vibrant city with exciting nightlife.

You absolutely can’t miss out on a private speedboat tour of the luminescent Blue Cave.

Also, be sure to set a day aside for a full pampering at the many wellness centres here. I promise there will be an array of activities that’ll appeal to everyone in the group at Hvar.

2. Puglia in Italy

Puglia is the quintessence of everything you love with Italy but with fewer tourists.

It’s a collection of ancient towns, olive groves, and Baroque architecture surrounded by crystal-clear waters.

Located at the heel of Italy’s boot, this region is expansive, and there’s plenty to explore as a result.

I recommend visiting from April to June to experience Puglia’s colourful festivals. That, or visit during the warmer months of July to August, which allows you to take a refreshing dip in the Adriatic Sea.

3. Cotswolds in the UK

The Cotswolds is a destination that’s impossibly pretty at any time of the year.

Spring brings gorgeous flower fields, while autumn transforms the place into a golden wonderland.

Even winter is a special experience, when you can cosy up by the fire with your friends with a bottle (or three) of wine. I love travelling to the Cotswolds with the girls because it’s filled with relaxing spas amidst serene surroundings.

4. Austrian Alps

The Austrian Alps is a dreamy destination comprising breathtaking mountains and national parks. It’s basically an outdoor paradise.

You can turn the Austrian Alps into your winter playground and schedule a private skiing lesson with the girls. Or visit outside of the winter season to experience this gorgeous region in the summer sun.

There are a number of incredible Austrian spa hotels which would be perfect if you’re after a luxurious spa retreat with the girls. I’d recommend Aqua Dome for an unforgettable spa experience.

I suggest using Innsbruck as your base for exploration. The city is straight out of a fairytale, with its pastel buildings and mountainous backdrop. From here, you can take day trips to alpine lakes and other hidden gems of Austria.

5. Nice in France

Nice is a large Mediterranean city along the coast of France that’s popular for its art, architecture, and fantastic scenery.

For me, Nice is the perfect girls’ trip destination because of its lovely weather. You can treat your friends to a spa day at the various luxury hotels, relax at one of the beach clubs, and indulge in French seafood and pastries.

Afterwards, explore the winding streets of the Old Town, then enjoy the breathtaking views of the French Riviera from Castle Hill.

There are also plenty of day trips from Nice that I’d recommend taking, from the quaint charm of Saint Paul de Vence to the impossibly pretty Antibes and Villefranche-sur-Mer.

6. Mallorca in Spain

Mallorca is a soulful island with just the right blend of exotic charm and comfort. Perhaps this is why it’s been a top travel destination for Europeans for decades.

The island may seem small, but it’s home to towering cliffs, azure coves, and mysterious caves.

Not only that, Mallorca is steeped in culture. You can go art gallery hopping or even book a traditional Spanish cooking class with your friends. For me, Mallorca is an easy destination for a girls-only trip, especially as it has such a friendly atmosphere.

7. Kotor in Montenegro

Imagine a town brimming with limestone cliffs, ports, and medieval churches, with the Adriatic coast sparkling just outside your hotel window.

It feels like a dream, yet that’s exactly what you’ll experience in Kotor, Montenegro. Located at the foot of the sheer Lovćen massif, Kotor is a charming travel destination with panoramic views.

Spend the day touring the ancient walled city, then charter a boat over to the Lustica peninsula near Tivat. Here a set of abandoned Cold War-era submarine tunnels are cut into the cliffs, a strange and fascinating relic of Yugoslavia’s former naval base.

8.  Zurich in Switzerland

Whenever I visit Zurich with my friends, it never fails to evolve into a shopping trip. Zurich is a fashionable city in Switzerland known for its modern architecture.

As the richest city in the country, Zurich holds some of the best artisan shops and luxury boutiques Switzerland has to offer. Here, you can dine at high-end restaurants or simply relax at a corner café.

Of course no trip to Zurich is complete without tasting the freshly made confectionery at the Lindt Home of Chocolate, the perfect girls trip activity.

9. Amsterdam in the Netherlands

Amsterdam consistently ranks among the safest cities in the world for women travellers, but that’s not the only reason it made my list.

The city attracts scores of tourists each year because of its scenic canals and magical atmosphere.

You’ll love walking along the streets of Amsterdam, past all the centuries-old canals and gabled houses, dipping into the boutique shops.

Get a culture hit at one of the many museums in Amsterdam, or treat yourself to some fine dining at one of the city’s Michelin star restaurants.

10. Mykonos in Greece

Mykonos is a glamorous island in Greece best known for its hedonistic party atmosphere. Also known as the Island of the Winds, this place is a paradise with turquoise skies and clear waters.

During the day, Mykonos is a delightful maze of boutiques and cafés. After touring the city, you can enjoy a rejuvenating afternoon spa session with the girls.
