Welcome to Pocket Wanderings, a British lifestyle blog where I document my favourite things – travel, recipes, reviews and a little bit of everything in between. There’s not much you need to know about me other than I live on the outskirts of London, I spend my days dreaming of travel and I have an incredibly large appetite for such a little person.
I hope you enjoy exploring my little pocket of the Internet. For more information, take a look at the FAQs below.
When did you start your blog?
I started blogging properly in May 2015. It started as a way of talking about my travels in Tanzania when I climbed Mt Kilimanjaro. Sadly I had to be an adult and get a job so the travel tales started to dwindle and the lifestyle side evolved from there.
Do you blog full-time?
No, I have a full-time job as a Marketing Manager, plus I carry out freelance marketing work at weekends as well as still attempting to keep a foot in the door for my acting and singing. Blogging fills up the small amount of spare time that I have left – one day I’d love to blog full-time though, so watch this space!
What camera do you use?
I use my trusty Sony RX100. It takes gorgeous photos and has loads of settings but is simple and easy to use (I’m not a techy, as much as I try to be). It’s also super compact so great for slipping in my handbag.
When I’m rich and famous (ahem) I’ll invest in a snazzy DSLR camera but for now my Sony RX100 does just fine.
Do you ever do sponsored posts?
I do consider sponsored posts but I will always be completely honest and will never review something that I feel does not fit in with the overall feel of my blog.
